I don't know what happened, but this time the install works fine. I must have made a mistake somewhere.

Another question I have is, in another system, I have Nvidia GPUs, but if I don't want VMD to use them to reserve for computation. Is there a way to start VMD without making it use the Nvidia GPUs?

Thank you.

Farid,
The CUDA version should work fine even if you don't have an NVIDIA card.
Let us know if you have trouble running it for some reason. If so,
please try running it like this and let us know what happens:
  vmd -dispdev text
