By removing the problematic flag (nvcc didn't like the -F flag which it
got from $(CFLAGS)), I got to the (almost?) last step where final vmd
linking is attempted. Sadly, it fails:
Linking vmd_MACOSXX86_64 ...
ln: ./foobar: File exists
ld: library not found for -lsball
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [vmd_MACOSXX86_64] Error 1
As before, suggestions kindly received.
