Hi,
  A number of people in our lab are rather fond of the
"jet" color scale in matlab, and so I threw together a
short VMD script to generate the same colormap.
I thought this would be helpful to other matlab fans,
and serve as an example to people wanting to make their
own custom color scales. See the attached script for details.
To use it, just "source" it in VMD, and then run the new
"colorscale_jet" command.
