yes. please have a look at:
http://www.theochem.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/~axel.kohlmeyer/cpmd-vmd/part3.html#chap5_sect1
for an example. the timing information is not contained in an xyz
file, so you have to adjust it to what you need. also note that the
specific example assumes that you use an orthographic projection...

the method how the script is hooked into the animation loop,
however, is generic and you can set it up to draw anything you
want. if you look at some of the more advanced examples on that
webpage, you'll see that you are mostly limited by your imagination...
