Not really, though it takes whatever color the color "white" in the
color settings maps to. It was simply added as a means of easily benchmarking
rendering performance for people that aren't comfortable using
things like:
time {rotate y by 1; display update ui; } 100
I'll see about giving it a color category so that you can change
the colors as with the Axes.
