Hi,
The VolumeSlice representation is the only way to do it within the
VMD graphics window. You can get isocontours that look more like
what Matlab does by using a custom color gradient. This makes it easy
to have a smaller number of color bands if you want, or to use all 1024
slots to have very smoothly varying colors for the isocontours. If you
want a separate plot, independent of the visualization in VMD, then it's
probably best to do this with OpenDX, Matlab or one of the other tools
that specializes in making general isocontour plots of that sort.
