"BAK" format files

Hi,
I'm performing a MD using NAMD, my system automatically re-started  after 10 days working and generated dcd.BAK and xst.BAK file but not generated  any back up data for velocity and coordinates  (existing coor and vel files are new and not useful for backing up ), so would your please let me know how to do it.
